His students listened to almost every word he said. His students learned from him. They learned how to spell words. They learned how to pronounce words. They learned how to ask questions. They learned how to answer questions. They learned how to think. He taught them how to think. “Don’t believe everything you hear,” he said. “Don’t believe everything you read,” he said. “Don’t believe everything you see,” he said. “Use your head. If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is,” he said.

他喜欢自己的工作。他有个好工作。他是个老师。他喜欢教书。他喜欢他的学生们。他喜欢教学生。他的学生很听他的话。他的学生几乎每句话都听他的。他的学生向他学习。他们学习如何拼写。他们学习如何发音。他们学习如何问问题。他们学习如何回答问题。他们学习怎样思考。他教他们怎样思考。“不要相认你听到的任何事情，”他说。“不要相信你读的任何事情，”他说。“不要相信你看到的任何事情，”他说。“动动脑筋。倘若某件事听起来好得难以置信，那或许不是真的，”他说。
